This is clearly not the only time Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell has been lit up this week.
Bell and teammate LeGarrette Blount are both awaiting word from the NFL offices on when commissioner Roger Goodell will summon them to the principal’s office after getting busted Cheech & Chong style, rolling dirty in possession of 20 grams of marijuana on Wednesday afternoon.
Before you get all doom and gloom on Bell’s fantasy stock, keep in mind that the NFL does not have a great track record dealing with these types of issues expeditiously. I’ll be leaving him right where I have him — low end RB1 in the second round — for now.
If you are concerned that Bell will face a suspension this season, feel free to adjust your rankings accordingly.
A savvy move in draft rooms would be to play up Bell’s troubles in hopes that he may slip into the fourth round. Fear is a great motivator.
